Nobody Is Better Than Anyone Else
It was narrarted from Ibn Abbas that, Umar ibn Al Khattab went for Hajj. Safwan ibn Umayyah had food made for him and other people. It was brought in by 4 servants who placed the food before the guests while they themselves remained standing.
Umar said, "Don't you want your servants to eat with us?"
Sufiyan ibn Abdullah replied, "No, by Allah, O leader of the muslims. We want to keep the food for ourselves."
Umar became very angry and said, "Who give themselves precedence over their servants? May Allah punish them!"
He then turned to the servants and said, "sit down and eat."
